The Art of Listening and the Effect on Communication

Listening can be difficult. It requires us to tune into more than the actual words and includes gestures, body language and the ability to focus our attention and concentration on someone other than ourselves.

How often have you talked to someone on the phone and realized that they were multi-tasking and preoccupied during the conversation.
Were they really listening? Probably not.

Do Subliminal CD’s Work?

This is really a two headed coin, while part of me wants to say not it does not, the other part is screaming out yet it does. Ok let me qualify that sentence. From my years of being a hypnotist, I would have to say yes. I have seen too much over the years to deny its power. However from a different point of view I would say no, there is not a lot of prove to say that it does work. Let me put it this way, the old saying “A picture paints a thousands words” it is very true and works well with the sub-conscious mind. If you have ever been to see a hypnotist for any reason, be it on stage or in a clinic, what does he tell you to do? Yes that’s right he tells you to imagine you are somewhere or doing something, he is painting a picture for your sub-conscious mind.

Learning About the Mobile Car Wash Industry

Often folks will seek long-term industry gurus to ask them what things they need to do to succeed in the profession they have chosen. How do I know this? Well, because like many others, I am often called upon to give advice in the mobile car wash sector. For 27 years and a lot of blood, sweat and tears, sometimes 17 hours per day, I participated in the business.

How To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing

The thought of being simple passengers on a ship meant to navigate to the furthest points does not appeal to folk who care to place their fate into their own hands. They have the desire of maneuvering the ships themselves, of being capable to be the ones to go it anywhere they seek to. Being aboard a ship on its manner to an especially good destination is something each and every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the capability to guide it themselves is what makes them really seek to.

The Whole Fruit

Having originated in Southeast Asia, the whole mangosteen fruit has been revered for its taste, but also for its healing properties. Historically, the whole fruit was used to treat people both topically and internally. This was done by either grinding the rind down and applying it directly to the skin or steeping it in water overnight and then drinking the resulting mangosteen tea. It has been used to restore intestinal health for centuries, as well as treat other infections.
Documented internal and external use:

You Are Your Own Brand

Recently, I wrote an article discussing the Unique Selling Proposition: its definition, its use and its penultimate importance in all aspects of marketing, no matter what business you’re in. In another article, I told the story of Julie’s Mansion, a wonderful restaurant I was studying as a young hospitality school student. I mentioned that Julie (Jules F., the owner) was an eccentric, flamboyant entrepreneur who knew how to differentiate himself with the public by using the media and other crazy goings-on that took place in his restaurant on a totally irregular basis. Julie knew how to create a “Unique Selling Proposition” for his restaurant. His USP was classic. Julie had learned how to differentiate himself from the others competing in the same market segment. Moreover, he did it preemptively.

Make Outsourcing Easier With Multi Time Zone Clocks

Outsourcing has been a part of our language since 1980. This involves leaving the management of non-core operations to an external entity that specializes in such operations. Most companies take this measure in order to cut back on costs and lessen the effects of conditions like blackouts and calamities that may slow down production. Because the external entity is usually located in another country, regular communication between the two parties is very important because it helps them coordinate with each other. Also, giving each other constant updates is very much needed in the improvement of the relationship of both parties. This is an indication of transparency which is a quality that is needed to maintain the existence of trust between both parties.

Phonesense Or – Is Patrick Home?

Living with two teenagers in the house means that your phone continually jumps off the hook. If it’s not a call for one, it’s a call for the other. Worse yet, when ever the caller speaks, all you get is a quick (and usually garbled) question that I translate as… “Is so an so home?” My usual response is… “I don’t know”— then wait for silence on the other end of the line. I either hang up (or if I’m in a generous mood) send my daughter to find the teen in question and give him the phone. Then, the “sermon from the mount” begins when I start telling my wife Melanie about how rude the phone manners of teenagers are. Right in the middle of my strongest argument, the phone rings! The voice on the other end says— “Is Melanie there?” I can’t win. It’s not just teenagers… it’s all of us.
