At APconnections, our flagship product, NetEqualizer, is a traffic management and WAN optimization tool. Rather than using compression and caching techniques, NetEqualizer analyzes connections and then doles out bandwidth to them based on preset rules. We look at every connection on the network and compare it to the overall trunk size to determine how to eliminate congestion on the links. NetEqualizer also prevents peer-to-peer traffic from slowing down higher-priority application traffic without shutting down those connections.

In cases where accounts receivable are out of control, you can bet that cash flow is out of control as well. I don’t know about you, but the folks I have to pay are not very concerned with whether or not I am getting paid in a timely manner. They want their money. Why is it then that we have such a difficult time holding our customers to the same standard. Why on earth should we feel guilty calling our customers to ask for OUR money? I don’t know, but many of us do.

In 1983, Gardner published his book on multiple intelligences. It swept through the world of education like a whirlwind and was widely announced as the new paradigm. New insights were added about learning styles caused by these so-called different intelligences. Soon after came more insights called ‘emotional intelligence’, ‘social intelligence’, and ‘spiritual intelligence’. Before the waves of intelligences, the academic world was swept of its feet by ‘rationality’. Before we can be intelligent, we had to be rational first, otherwise the world might slip into chaos. Before rationality, it was ‘planning’ which was the magic lamp of Aladdin. How could we do anything without planning? Despite all these wonderful scientific insights, the world still has enough weapons to kill itself several times. Conflicts and wars seem to be the order of the day, instead of planned, rational, and intelligent lifestyles. Perhaps we need to invent something called ‘intelligent communication’ first before we can create a better world for everyone. What is exactly intelligent communication? Here is a summary:
